Since no such solution was found, they created LightMeUp to fulfil their own need for real-time collaboration and knowledge-sharing. They hope other professionals will find it valuable and use it to enhance their professional growth.
9. How do I create a Request for Help?
Go to the Home screen, tap "I need help", describe your request, select the language and expertise area, and submit. A professional will be matched to assist you.
10. Can I edit or cancel my Request?
Yes, you can modify or cancel a Request before it is accepted by another professional or expires.
11. How do I know if my Request has been accepted?
You will receive a notification when someone picks up your Request.
12. What if no one responds to my Request?
If no one accepts your Request within two hours, it will expire. To increase your chances, consider adjusting the expertise area or language (the number of available professionals is visible). Providing more details can also help attract responses. Don’t get discouraged—keep refining your requests for better engagement!
13. How long does a Request stay active?
A Request remains active for two hours before it automatically expires. You can cancel it anytime or submit a new one if needed.
14. How do I join a mentoring call?
Once your Request is accepted, you'll receive a call notification. Simply tap to join.
15. What happens if I miss a call?
If you miss a call, your Request will expire, and you’ll need to submit a new one. Please do your best to answer calls, as the professional on the other end have committed their time to help you. Respecting each other's time is a core value of our community and helps ensure a positive experience for everyone.
16. Can I extend a call?
Yes, but both participants must explicitly agree by tapping "Extend Call."
17. How do I end a call?
Tap the "End Call" button anytime to conclude the session.
18. Will I get a warning before the call ends?
Yes, you’ll receive visual and audio alerts before the session expires.

Matches are made based on three key criteria: expertise, language, and availability. Once these criteria are met, the rest is left to serendipity—meaning the first available professional who meets your selected criteria will connect with you. 21. What if I don’t feel comfortable with the match?
Calls start with a 15-minute limit, extendable only if both parties agree. If needed, you can end the call at any time and provide feedback. Serious concerns can be reported.
22. How do I leave feedback?
After each session, you can rate your experience and leave comments.
23. Can I block or report a user?
Yes, you can report inappropriate behavior through the platform’s feedback system. If needed, please contact support for further assistance.
24. Is my data safe with LightMeUp?
